10AM 5/5/19 – “The Day of the Lord” – 2 Thessalonians 2

Before the day of the Lord comes, there is going to be a falling away. (2 Thess.2) The translation “falling away” is from the Greek word apostasia. The root of that word means “depart.” Over the years, it has come to mean “departing from the faith,” but the word itself simply means “depart or “leave”.Now I believe that in the last days many will depart from the faith, in fact, as you look at the so-called church today, you see many churches are in a state of falling away even now. But apostasia can also refer to a departure, which we believe is the Rapture of the church. The wrath of the Lamb will not be poured out until the Bride has departed to be with the Bridegroom in the air.
