There is one God & one Mediator between God & men, the Man Christ Jesus”(1 Tim.2). All roads do not lead to Eternal Life! Most religions do not! There is only One who can lead us to Eternal Life, and that is Jesus Christ. He said; “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me” (John14). We sometimes hear from people who are very upset because we teach about the narrow path that leads to Eternal Life, and that there is only one way. That’s not our opinion. Jesus said that!
Paul warned Timothy about those time wasters, who turn away from what matters to “idle talk.” There are some people who spend all their time and energy trying to debate and nit-pick issues that don’t matter. (1 Tim 1) I get letters from people who only want to debate. Sometimes they start with an honest-sounding question, but when you give them an honest answer they respond by writing a lengthy diatribe, advocating some strange theory. I try to avoid these disputes because I know I won’t get anywhere with them, so why waste time with idle talk? Pastor Chuck Smith
Jesus is coming! But we do not fix a definite time or condition that would allow us to sleep until prophecy is fulfilled. Someone asked; “Won’t the Jews be converted to Christ, & restored to their land?” I answered; “Yes! Surely they shall look on Him whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son. And God shall give them the kingdom, for they are His people, whom He has not forever cast away”. The Jews, who are the natural olive branches, shall be grafted in to live again. Like the dry bones of Ezekiel 37 prophecy.” Study Romans chap. 9, 10 & 11 and search for yourself, but this is the main thing – Jesus will come! He may come in the first watch of the night, or the second watch, or He may wait until the morning watch. Jesus told His Bride: ‘Watch & be ready’ (Matt.25). So whenever He comes, you be ready. – Charles Spurgeon
Before the day of the Lord comes, there is going to be a falling away. (2 Thess.2) The translation “falling away” is from the Greek word apostasia. The root of that word means “depart.” Over the years, it has come to mean “departing from the faith,” but the word itself simply means “depart” or “leave”.Now I believe that in the last days many will depart from the faith, in fact, as you look at the so-called church today, you see many churches are in a state of falling away even now. But apostasia can also refer to a departure, which we believe is the Rapture of the church. The wrath of the Lamb will not be poured out until the Bride has departed to be with the Bridegroom in the air.
