10am Sun. 11th “Our Father’s Heart” Galatians 4

Gal.4

“Abba” is the Hebrew word for Daddy, because it’s a term of endearment. It is a term meaning a very close relationship (Galatians 4).   “Father” can be a formal relationship. When I think of “Father,” I think of sitting up straight. I think of a formal, don’t- speak-until-you’re-spoken-to kind of thing. However, with “Daddy” we think of climbing on his lap, listening to stories, and getting hugs. Both are appropriate.       God wants to have a close relationship with us, where He touches us, and can be touched by us. At the same time we realize who God is: The awesome creator, with power and authority; The eternal, omnipotent, omniscient God – there is a reverence and respect that also comes with Father”.
