Sunday 10AM “Walk In The Spirit” Galatians 5

Mankind is a trinity made up of body, mind, and spirit. Mankind, basically, is a spirit, living in a body, possessing a consciousness or mind.                                      Now my mind is either going to be controlled by fleshly, bodily desires or by spiritual desires. If I am walking in the flesh, giving in to the passions of my body, then the result will be that I will have a carnal mind. Paul said we are to bring “every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor.10:5).                                            When we find our minds absorbed in the things of the flesh, it’s important to take control and say: “I don’t want to think on those things.” Start to sing a worship song and meditate on Jesus your Savior. Get into the Scriptures.  We want to live in the Spirit. We want to Walk in the Spirit. If we Walk in the Spirit we will not fulfill the lust of our flesh (Galatians 5). Pastor Chuck Smith

10am Sun. 11th “Our Father’s Heart” Galatians 4

“Abba” is the Hebrew word for Daddy, because it’s a term of endearment. It is a term meaning a very close relationship (Galatians 4).   “Father” can be a formal relationship. When I think of “Father,” I think of sitting up straight. I think of a formal, don’t- speak-until-you’re-spoken-to kind of thing. However, with “Daddy” we think of climbing on his lap, listening to stories, and getting hugs. Both are appropriate.       God wants to have a close relationship with us, where He touches us, and can be touched by us. At the same time we realize who God is: The awesome creator, with power and authority; The eternal, omnipotent, omniscient God – there is a reverence and respect that also comes with Father”. Sunday 10AM – “Just Live By Faith” – – Galatians 3

“I Think one of the greatest dangers Christians face, and one of the greatest dangers the church has faced through the years, is that every genuine move of God seems to end up with man trying to perfect it by the flesh.  God begins a work in the Spirit. And Next, people feel they must get organized, put a committee together and start a program”. Pastor Chuck Smith                             This was the problem with the Galatians. They began in the Spirit, with Faith in Jesus for their salvation, putting their Faith in Christ alone, to be accounted by God for righteousness. But now they were trying to improve on their righteousness.  Paul wrote: “Are you so foolish?” The Just Live by Faith in the righteousness of Jesus Christ – that is all you’ll ever need! (Galatians 3)
