10/1/17-Sun.10AM-“Attacking Our Spiritual Enemy”- Acts 26 – CD#1661

Acts26

In Acts 26 Paul attacks the unbelievers with the Gospel of God’s Love for them. Christians should always be on the offensive (Eph.6:12-19). We have not been equipped to retreat. Paul knew from experience that Jesus and His great Love will deliver anyone from the power of Sin, Satan, Self or The System.                Paul speaks to those in that Roman auditorium about his personal experience with the Living Christ, and God’s loving-kindness to him. And Paul speaks to them of the power of God as seen in the resurrection of Jesus. Paul is not intimidated by the pomp and pageantry of the Kings, Queens and other elites in the crowd. He sees them only as lost sinners in need of a Savior. No matter the appearances, all human beings have the same needs and doubts and fears.

Sunday 10AM 92/4 – “Open Their Eyes Lord” – Acts 25 – CD#1660

Acts25

Our prayer for the unsaved is that Jesus Christ would deliver them from the power of the devil (Acts 25). He is the enemy of our soul, and has blinded their eyes to the truth (2 Cor. 4:4). We pray that their eyes would be opened by God’s Holy Spirit, so they can truly consider the claims of the gospel of God without being influenced by the pre-conceived ideas, and pressure our enemy has put in their mind. He has blinded them!   Paul wrote to Timothy that through our gentleness, patience, and humility “… they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will” (2 Tim.2:26).

Sun.10AM 9/17/17 “The Day of Salvation” Acts 24 – CD#1659

Acts24

Many people today are like Felix & Drusilla (Acts 24). They like the sound of the Gospel, but not the Gospel itself. They like the message of God’s Love and reconciliation. Maybe they enjoy the worship time, or the peace that comes from being with God’s people. But the call for right living, self-control, and the judgment to come goes against their self-centered, pleasure filled, way of life.      Some people think salvation means that if they have said the sinner’s prayer, been baptized, and go to church they are saved and have a license to sin. They don’t think they should be held accountable for their actions anymore. (2 Tim 4:3 & 4)

Some Christians think they are being attacked when God’s Word is simply teaching that the day of your salvation means you have met Christ, and you will live right, and with self-control. Many are under the power of the flesh so that their own ‘will’ is fighting against God’s ‘will’.  But God’s Love, Righteousness, Peace and Joy will rule our lives when we are truly born of God’s Holy Spirit (John 3).

10AM 9/10/17 “Take Courage In Christ” – Acts 23 – cd#1658

Acts23

The Apostle Paul had wanted to preach the Gospel to the Jews from the time that he was saved, but it turned into a disaster. He was rejected by his brothers, and was thrown into prison, and Paul was very discouraged (Acts 23).       But The Holy Spirit encouraged Paul saying: “Paul, you testified for Me in Jerusalem.  It was a fiasco, but that’s all right, you proclaimed the Truth. Now you must testify for Me in Rome.” So the Jesus took him out of his depression and gave him a call and courage for his future. Paul was given courage to leave the past behind, and reach forward to the prize of the call of God in Christ Jesus (Phil.3). It is important that you and I do the same, and take courage in Christ.              There will be times when you have been forsaken by your friends, maybe even by Christian friends. But Jesus will never leave or forsake you. Paul had been forsaken by his brethren, but not by Christ. Jesus stood with him in those dark days of his life, and Jesus will always stand by you.

10am 9/3/17 “What’s Your Story” – Acts 22 – CD#1657

Acts22

One of the most powerful things you can share with another person is the story of your own personal experience with Jesus Christ. Telling people what Christ has done in your life, and of the changes He has made in you, is very powerful because it cannot be denied. When you hear the personal testimony of a born again Christian, what can you say? You know that the Living God has done miracles in their life. There is no denying it. They are walking and talking examples of God’s Love, and of the power of God’s Holy Spirit to transform lives. The Apostle Paul gave the people his story (Acts 22). What’s your story?
