Christian Dads in the first century discipled their sons & daughters so they would know that Christ died on the cross for our sins, that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day (Acts 13). They taught the children that the prophecies of God in the Old Testament, about Christ’s suffering and death, and about Jesus being despised & rejected, were all fulfilled. Parents taught their children that all of God’s purposes were fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Compare Paul’s sermon here in Acts 13, with Peter’s sermon in Acts 2, and you’ll find their messages are essentially the same. Christian Dads in the 21st century are responsible to teach their children in that same way about Jesus’ perfect life, His death for our sins, and the Resurrection Life. Christian Fathers today must – most importantly – be examples, just as Christ taught His Disciples by His Word and by His example. Sorry about the audio static.
