There are so-called Christian Pastors & Teachers today who do not believe that Jesus actually rose from the dead. This is nothing new or different! There were those in the first century who said the same. But Paul made it clear in these verses of 1 Corinthians 15:12-28 that, if Jesus did not rise from the dead, then we are hopelessly lost in our sins. Any teaching that denies the Resurrection is empty. And a church without a risen Christ is pathetic and pitiful. But Paul went on to say; “But now Christ has risen from the dead!” And we sing “Hallelujah”!
AMAZING! Jesus desires to live in close Fellowship with mankind! Jesus, the Creator of all things! Jesus, the One who transcends space and time! Jesus wants to be one with mankind, and will call us His friends. This is even more amazing when you realize how vast and great God is. He fills the universe, yet He wants to have close Fellowship with you and me. If we look deep into God’s Word, we will begin to understand that this is the very purpose of our existence. You and I exist for the purpose of having close Fellowship with God and Christ. “Truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”(1 John 1:3) Truly, that is Amazing! We can have close Fellowship with our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Abraham was probably thinking: “I don’t have any defense against my enemies in this strange land.” So the Lord spoke to him in a vision saying: “Do not be afraid, for I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.” The Lord was telling Abraham: “You’ve got Me, you don’t need anything else; you are clothed in the Righteousness of God”. The Lord is the inheritance of those who trust in Him. More Christians need to understand that those who have Jesus as their Lord have God’s resources that can never fade away. It is sad for any person who relies on their own strength. Even if they are the most powerful person in the world, their power is still limited. How blessed is that person who is Clothed in the Righteousness of God in Jesus Christ.
Bible Prophecy tells us that soon Jesus will come for His Bride, the Church; this is known as the Rapture. Jesus will take His Bride with Him to heaven, while for 7 years on earth God will deal with the nations and with Israel. The Bible calls this the time of Jacob’s (Israel’s) trouble (Jer.30). During these 7 years, the nations of the world will be judged, and Israel will accept Jesus as their Messiah. This is called the Great Tribulation (Rev. 6-18). After this, Jesus will come back with His Bride and rule over the earth for 1,000 years, and His Bride will rule with Him. Satan will be bound during those years. (Rev.19 & 20)
At the end of 1,000 years, Satan will be released and attempt to overthrow Jesus. But Michael the archangel will prevail over Satan and his armies. After that, Satan & his followers will be cast into Hell to await the Great White Throne judgment, and the Lake of Fire. In 2 Peter 3, the question is asked; “Since everything will be destroyed this way, what kind of people should you be”? “You should live holy and Godly lives as you look forward to the Day of the Lord, and the new heaven and the new earth.
