Philemon “Paul The Intercessor” July 5, 2015 – CD#1561

THE APOSTLE PAUL GIVE US A GREAT EXAMPLE OF WHAT IT MEANS TO INTERCEDE FOR SOMEONE ! Onesimus had stolen from Philemon, and ran away to Rome where he evidently met Christ, and got saved. Paul encouraged Onesimus to go back and make restitution to Philemon. Paul wrote this letter to Philemon to encourage him to accept Onesimus as a brother in Christ, and to know that Paul was standing up for him.                                                            Satan is the accuser of the brethren, accusing us before God day & night (Rev.12:10).  But Jesus Christ took our sins upon Himself, and paid a penalty we could never pay. He is at the right hand of the Father interceding for you & I (Heb.7:25). “If he has wronged you or owes you anything, put it on My account”

Titus 3 “Grace and The Holy Spirit” 6/28/15 – CD#1560

BECAUSE OF THE GRACE OF GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT IS IN THE PROCESS OF TRANSFORMING US FROM WHAT WE USED TO BE INTO WHAT GOD WANTS US TO BE. I’m not yet complete, as far as my progress is concerned, but the Spiritual process of renewal and transformation is still at work to conform me into the image of Jesus Christ.                               I’m not what I should be but, thank God, I’m not what I used to be. And I know that since God has started a good work in me, He will finish it. (Phil.1:6) Christ is in the process of making me a new creation!

Titus 2 “Grace and Our Blessed Hope” – 6/21/15 – cd#1559

BECAUSE OF THE GRACE OF GOD we live our lives in anticipation of living for all eternity with Jesus Christ just as He has promised in His Word. We are expecting, at any moment, “the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” (Titus 2)                                                                          Believing that Jesus is coming soon gives us a sense of urgency to get the Gospel to people everywhere. Knowing Christ could come at any moment gives us the right perspective on material things. And knowing He could come at any time also has a purifying effect on our lives. We live in expectation of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ coming soon to take His Church to be with Him (John 14), and that anticipation makes all the difference in the way we live our lives!

Titus 1:10-16 “Pure Hearts and Minds” – 6/14/15 – CD#1558

Titus 1.10

“IF YOUR HEART IS PURE BEFORE GOD; ALL THINGS ARE PURE. But if your heart is corrupt, all things are impure. We must endeavor to keep our hearts pure. (Titus 1) So we set our hearts & minds on “things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, good, virtuous, etc.”- Like Jesus – “and the God of peace will be with you.” (Phil.4:8)  But for those who allow their hearts & minds to dwell on impure things, they are living with pollution in their hearts & minds. For those who continually watch & listen to worldly entertainment; and hang around with people who “love the darkness more than the light,” It is very difficult to get the filth & pollution out of your mind, once you allow it in.   But if you remain pure, your heart & mind will remain pure, and you will see and hear things in the pure light of Jesus Christ. And a pure life is glorious!

Titus 1 – “Hope of Eternal Life” – June 7, 2015 – cd# 1558

THE BIBLE USES THE WORD “HOPE” TO REFER TO SOMETHING THAT IS CERTAIN. . We tend to use it referring to something that is uncertain.     Today I have the hope of eternal life, through Jesus Christ. He died for my sins so that I can experience the life of God. Jesus Christ rose from the dead so I could know for certain that He has power over death and He has the power to impart that same eternal life to me.     Although I am not experiencing eternal life in heaven right now, I know for certain I will be spending eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven, and live with God for all eternity!
