Acts 27 – “Faith Through the Storm” -12/28/14 – CD#1537

In Acts 27 the Lord encouraged Paul in the midst of a storm at sea. Jesus assured Paul of his mission; “You must be brought before Caesar..”. Paul had God’s word that he was going to make it to Rome.   It is wonderful to have that assurance regarding your purpose for life. When the storms of life come and we are prone to give up; when we are anxious and have doubts, we can rest on the promises of God.  Jesus told Paul: “You shall bear witness of Me in Rome.” Paul believed God’s word to him, that it would be just as it was told to him. Paul had confidence in the word of God! So it should be with every Bible believing Christian.

“A Child is Born, A Son is Given” – Isaiah 9 – 12/21/14 – CD#ChristX2014

Isaiah 9

ISAIAH 9 is a clear and glorious prophecy about the birth of the Messiah; Jesus Christ.  This Scripture tells us of the deity of Christ. What child has ever been born who could be called “Mighty God”?

What child has ever been born who could be called “The Prince of Peace” who would one day rule the world? He is The Child who was born in Bethlehem of the virgin Mary.

He was a Child who was born, but He was also a Son who was given. God gave His only begotten Son. He was fully God and fully man. A Child and Son.

Acts 26 “Attacking With God’s Love” -12/14/14 – CD# 1536

In Acts 26 Paul attacks the unbelievers with the Gospel of God’s Love for them. – Christians should always be on the offensive (Eph.6 – Matt.16:18 – 2Cor.10:4). We have not been equipped to retreat! – Jesus and His great Grace will deliver anyone from the power of Sin and Satan who has blinded their eyes to the truth. As Christians, we pray for all unbelievers that the eyes of their hearts can be opened so that they can truly consider the claims of Jesus without the prejudice and blindness Satan has put in their mind.        Paul wrote to Timothy that through our gentleness, patience, and humility “they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will”(2 Tim.2:26).

Acts 25 “Jesus Is Alive” – Dec. 7, 2014 – CD#1535

Acts 25

IN ACTS CHAPTER 25 PAUL TESTIFIED TO THE ROMAN GOVERNOR FELIX, AND LATER TO HIS SUCCESSOR, FESTUS THAT JESUS IS ALIVE.  The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is at the heart of the Gospel. (Good News). Without the Resurrection, there is no Gospel.  If Jesus is not alive, and if He did not rise from the dead, then His death on the Cross has no power or meaning.                 Peter said; “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you” (1 Peter 1:3). The Resurrection gives us hope for the future. The born again Christian has no fear of death because the Resurrection is true and Jesus Is Alive.
