Rev. 9 “The Destroyer” 10/27/13 #1482

THE NAME OF THE ANGEL OF THE BOTTOMLESS PIT is Abaddon, in Hebrew, and in Greek it is Apollyon. The name means “destroyer”. What fitting names for Satan, the one who has destroyed and ruined every person who has given control of their hearts and lives to the powers of darkness. Before the world as we know it will end, there will be a great purging, called the wrath of the Lamb (Rev.6:16,17). At that time God will reveal the awful reality of spiritual warfare when He unleashes demonic powers upon the earth. God’s Holy Spirit in His Church has restrained these powers until His church has been raptured out of the way (2 Thess.2). The people who are not sealed by God, those who have given their hearts and lives to the counterfeit Christ, will discover what is behind the deception. It will be so painful that they will want to die, but death will escape them. Revelation was written to Christians so we would warn people of the coming wrath and the reality of the spiritual war.

“Prayers & Judgments” Rev. 8 – 10/20/13 #1481

WHEN JESUS OPENS THE 7TH SEAL, THERE IS SILENCE IN HEAVEN. At the same time John saw an angel offering incense upon the golden altar. And the smoke of the incense, mixed with the prayers of the saints ascended before God. Silence can sometimes be an awesome thing. There will possibly be a billion people in heaven. Imagine that many people in total silence. It would be like the calm before a storm. Weather experts say there is an awesome silence right before a tornado hits; just as there is in the eye of a hurricane. So there will be this silence in heaven, right before the judgment hits.
Paul’s warning of Acts 20:27-31 could not be more applicable for at time such as ours when biblical discernment is more necessary than ever. …. I used to think “Paul, what’s your problem? You don’t have to deal with TBN … Charisma Mag… The New Apostolic Reformation … Christianity Today mag … So-called Christian Psychology… Replacement Theology … Hyper-Calvinism … The Emerging church.. Joel’s Army … The Contemplative Movement… The Message “Bible” … Purpose Driven Marketing … The Christian Right, The Christian Left … Progressive Christianity … and on and on and on … Then it dawned on me what I missed. It’s not primarily what Paul had to deal with, but it’s his heart for his brothers and sisters in Christ. It’s his love for the Bride of Christ and believers who could be seduced and have their faith shipwrecked. That should cause all of us to search our own hearts as the apostasy ensnares Christians, particularly in our upcoming generation. I hope and pray that we will search our hearts regarding Paul’s tearful plea.

Rev. 7 “The Tribulation Saints” – 10,13,13 -#1480

TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE RUNNING FOR SOMETHING WHEN THEY OUGHT TO BE STANDING FOR SOMETHING.. God’s people should be willing to stand, like those who come out of the Great Tribulation! But some Christians are brainwashed in so many ways that they are afraid to speak out against sin in any form. The enemy of our souls has persuaded us that Christianity should be a casual thing—not something to get excited about. Fellow Christians, we only have a little time here on earth. Jesus Christ commands that we engage in things eternal. I believe that the blessed anointing of the Holy Spirit does not have the opportunity to flow freely among Christians of our day. We can hardly expect any real move of the Spirit among those who proudly class themselves as liberal Christians. They reject the deity of Christ, the inspiration of the Bible, and the divine gifts of the Holy Spirit. How can the Spirit of God bless those who do not believe? A.W.Tozer

“Memories of Pastor Chuck” from Pastor Gary Rev. 7 – Oct.6,2013

THE ELDER IDENTIFIES THE GREAT MULTITUDE AS “the ones who come out of the great tribulation”. I believe the greatest period of revival that the world will ever know will take place immediately after the Rapture. There will be so many who have been out on the fringes, people who have heard the Gospel but have not responded to it by committing their lives to Jesus. Their loved ones who have been witnessing to them for a long time will suddenly disappear. I believe this will bring many to their knees, crying out to God for salvation.
