“The 4 Horsemen & God’s Wrath” Rev. 6 – Sun. 9/29/13

THE FIRST THING JOHN SAW AFTER JESUS OPENED THE SEALS was a rider on a white horse, followed by wars, famine, and death. This rider will be the “Antichrist” the counterfeit Messiah. The Great Tribulation will begin when he is revealed, sometime after the rapture of the church. (2 Thess 2:5-12). The world will see him as a hero when he brings peace to the Middle East (Dan.9:24-27). But 3 ½ years later he will stand in the Holy Place of the rebuilt temple and demand to be worshipped as God (Dan.9:27&Matt.24:15). These actions will bring about the wrath of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, who gave Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. Christ will pour out His wrath on earth. Jesus called this the Great Tribulation, and it is described in Rev. chapters 6 through 19.

“The Church Sings In Heaven” Rev. 5 – Sunday, 9/22/2013

8 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

9 And they sang a new song, saying:

“You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

10 And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”

11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,

12 saying with a loud voice:

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:

“Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

14 Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.

“Humility Cures Worldliness” James 4 – Study with Mike Weatherly – 9/15/13

The Study in Revelation will resume Sunday, 9/22 when Pastor Gary returns.
PAUL PRAYED THREE TIMES THAT GOD WOULD REMOVE THE THORN IN HIS FLESH. God said; “My grace is sufficient for you, My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Cor.12) God doesn’t always answer prayer as we desire. We cannot force God to perform through prayer. That’s never the purpose of prayer. God is not my servant, I am His. That Christ does things for me is a sign of His great love, because I deserve nothing. If you’ve been praying for something and it hasn’t been coming, that doesn’t mean Jesus isn’t going to answer you. But it would be wise to examine your heart and your motives to see if the desire is from your flesh, because many times we ask and don’t receive because we ask amiss.

“The Scroll & The Lamb” Rev. 5 – Sunday, 9/8/2013

JOHN SAW A SCROLL IN HEAVEN THAT ONLY JESUS, THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH, COULD OPEN. Most conservative commentators see the scroll as the title deed to the earth, and I agree. God had given the earth to Adam. But when Adam sinned, by obeying Satan instead of God, earth was given over to Satan, and Adam & Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden. All of the subsequent generations of mankind have been born outside of the Garden; spiritually dead, and lost in sin. The cost of redeeming mankind, and God’s creation, was the blood of Jesus Christ. He has paid the price, but He hasn’t yet taken possession of the earth. Jesus will take possession of His creation after the Tribulation; and His judgments are the process by which He will take possession.
