“Our Ever-Present Lord” Sunday June 30,2013 – Rev.1

revelation[1]THE BOOK OF REVELATION was addressed and sent to seven literal churches that were in Asia. There were many other churches around when John wrote this letter, but these seven churches were chosen because they represented all the churches at that time. Seven is the number of completeness in Bible numerology. These seven churches can also be seen as representing different stages of church history, as the letter to each church seems to coincide with different periods of time; Ephesus & Smyrna (33AD – 312 AD) Pergamos & Thyatira (312AD-1520AD) Sardis, Philadelphia, & Laodicia (1520AD – present time). And there is also a sense in which God’s letter to each church can be applied to every church, in every age, and every Christian in every age, including today.
So there is a fascinating threefold application.

Rev. 1 “The Key To The Apocolypse” Sunday, 6/23/13

THE KEY to understanding and interpreting the Book of Revelation lies in Chapter 1:19. This is how we outline the book. First write: “the things which you have seen” referring to the vision that John had in chapter one of Jesus in His glorified body. Then: “the things which are” that is Chapters 2 and 3, or the church age, which started on the Day of Pentacost and continues to the present time. We are still in the church age. Third, ”the things which will take place after this”. The period of time that will come after the church is raptured, when the earth will enter a new era, beginning with the Great Tribulation, moving on into the Millennium, and continuing on to the eternal state. When we come to chapter 4, we begin to transition into the future events; after the church age, when we are raptured out of the world. God has given us this key to outline and understand the book.

Daniel 12 “The Believer’s Inheritance” 6/16/13

daniel-133a_3068_1024x768[1]DANIEL WAS TOLD: “You shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.” I thank God that I have an inheritance ready for me. My reservation is in, and my place is reserved. Peter said: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1 Pet.1:3-5). Are you in that place of forgiveness right now? Have you trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior? You can start right now and receive His forgiveness and know that your inheritance will be waiting for you in heaven, just ask Him into your life.

“Daniel’s History Lesson”

“At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon.  He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape.  He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels.  But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him.” ~Daniel 11: 40-45

Daniel 11 - Sunday June 9, 2013

DANIEL Ch. 11 Gives us prophesies of future wars & kings, but the prophesy concerning Antiochus Epiphanes & the abomination of desolation which defiled the Jewish temple (around 168 B.C.) concerned more than Antiochus; it was also a prophecy of what the Antichrist will do during the Great Tribulation (Rev.13). Antiochus was a “type” of the Antichrist, but Jesus made it clear that this prophecy of Daniel also spoke of the future, so He warns all His disciples, even those of us in the 21st century, of the events prophesied in Daniel that concern the future Antichrist. (Mat 24:15) It is one example of double fulfillment, or “near” and “far” prophecy. There is a reference to the actions of Antiochus, but a further reference to the actions of Antichrist. These are more amazing prophecies given in such great detail from our God who holds the future.

Prophecy & Spiritual Warfare – Daniel 10 – Sunday, June 2, 2013

Daniel 10 will give us valuable insight into the realm of Spiritual War. Daniel was astounded by the magnitude of the vision he saw, and he collapsed on the ground. The message he was given, from One who touched him said, “O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be unto
you; be strong” Daniel then said, “You have strengthened me.”
When the Lord touches us with His great love, God will take away all
fear, and He will give us peace. His amazing love will strengthen us,
spiritually, emotionally, and often physically. How powerful it is for me to
know that I am loved by God.
